My accountancy and consultancy experience covers a wide range of business activities, as well as all of the usual functions associated with accountancy practices in the Small to Medium sized Enterprise field (SME's). I held an Insolvency Licence until the end of 1998, and was a Registered Auditor until the end of 1999.

My consultancy activities include the independent valuation of businesses; advising on business mergers and break‑up; preparing prospectuses and negotiating the sale of businesses; advising vendors on the sales of minority interests; advising the purchasers of businesses and companies; negotiating finance facilities for clients; assisting clients in resolving a wide range of disputes.

1953 – 1959 Accountancy Training with Hickling, Frith & Partners, Leicester and Howard Smith Thomson, Birmingham.

1959 – 1963 Branch Accountant with Jardine Matheson in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

1963 – 1996 Sole Practitioner and Senior Partner in Rosenthals, Chartered Certified Accountants, Leicester. Client base of Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).

1996 – 1999 Director of Rosenthal Fenton Limited, Chartered Accountants, Leicester.

1999 to date Consultant to Haines Watts, Chartered Accountants, Leicester.

1994 to date – extensive involvement in commercial dispute resolution as Arbitrator, Expert Witness, Single Joint Expert and Mediator.

1996 to date – extensive involvement in consumer dispute resolution as a member of several consumer arbitration panels operated by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
