| Details | I am a business lawyer with extensive experience in litigation and business decision and deal making in Europe, the United States and Asia over nearly 30 years. As well as many years experience as a litigator and advocate, I have also gained valuable commercial experience as General Counsel and as a businessman in my own right: After initial practice in the UK, I spent two years in the USA working as a theatrical agent putting together film and television deals in Los Angeles, before being hired by the Golden Harvest Group in Hongkong to be General Counsel and head of business affairs for this expanding film production distribution and exhibition group. Leaving that to return to private practice in Hong Kong I developed a successful commercial and IP/media practice, and was for many years retained counsel for IFPI in Asia. During this time I founded EZTV, the first Pan-Asia satellite television channel, which was successfully sold to Star TV(part of News International). Returning to the UK to be General Counsel and head of business Affairs for NBC(part of GE) in Europe I was involved in all corporate and business aspects of the company's operations with a seat on the Board. From there I was headhunted to Switzerland to be General Counsel for ISL, amember of the Board, overseeing a team of 20 lawyers, with work varying from acquisition of a UK plc to successfully negotiating contracts for the TV and marketing rights for the FIFA World Cup 2002 and 2006, before returning to England and resuming private practice. I have mediation rooms available in Norwich and Ipswich. |
